It all started in 1988 when Jerry launched the Uncle Jerry's brand and started going door to door in Philadelphia introducing this fantastic new product. Within two years, Uncle Jerry’s Pretzels won the prestigious Best of Philly award. In 2008, Jerry’s daughter, Misty, joined the business and was the catalyst behind the brand’s online and social media presence.

From start to finish, Uncle Jerry’s Pretzels are proudly made in the USA. The bakery is located in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We also work with local and family businesses like ours as much as possible, such as for our chocolate pretzels and packaging!
Yes! At Uncle Jerry's, we care deeply about the environment. We not only reuse and recycle all our cardboard boxes, we also use biodegradable packing material. The packing peanuts we use are 100% cornstarch. They are non-toxic, biodegradable, and water soluble.
Put simply, we would be unable to provide our pretzels at reasonable prices if we did. Instead of increasing the price of our pretzels and then offering free shipping, we ask customers to contribute to the costs of packaging, shipping and handling - all of which are done by hand. Your contribution allows us to continue baking and twisting a handmade product that is baked fresh each week.

Our Whole Wheat Low Salt and Oat Bran Low Salt pretzels with no added sugar may be a great option for those that would like to avoid glucose spikes.
Not only are Uncle Jerry’s Pretzels regular sourdough pretzels vegan, but they are also sugar free, oil free, shortening free, and dairy free. Pretzels can be ordered in low salt, too, to fit into low sodium diets.
